First day of 2nd grade!

8.27.12 - Today was Penny's first day of 2nd grade.  She and a bunch of her friends got Mr Abrahams for their teacher.  We hear that he's awesome so I'm so happy to hear that she got his class.  I hope you meet make some new friends and have a great year.  You're off to a great start!

 

 

Halmoni's 65th Bday

08.26.12 - Today was Halmoni's 65th birthday and Halabuhji took us all out to a nice, fancy dinner at Bay Wolf.  The whole family came out including Big Halmoni and Aimee.  It's a special time to have everyone together like this.  I'd like to cherish this moment.  Happy Birthday Halmoni!

Putting Champ!

8.22.12 - Penny was the putting contest winner today!  She hit a 21 on 9 holes.  Great job Penny!  Your skills are improving so quickly! 

Les Miz and The A's!

8.19.12 - Today the girls got to each do something fun, separately.  We surprised Penny with Les Miz tickets at the Orpheum in SF.  We know how much you love this musical and thought since you worked so hard and got 2nd place in the US Kids Golf Championships (and hit a 40!), we'd get you some tickets.  Not a lot of kids get tix to musicals like this so I hope you cherish and remember this performance.  It may be a long time before they come back again.

While Penny was at her show, I took Pepper to an A's game with Heather and her family.  Pepper had tons of fun eating popcorn, chocolate ice cream, and her lipstick lollipop.  The A's won and it was a great day!

8.18.12 - Auntie Gina's bday at Peasoupp

We met Auntie Gina and Uncle Josh, James and Jason for her bday.  Penny and Pepper love meeting their cousins.  We all wished they lived closer but we're thankful we get to see them often.  Family is very important.  Happy Birthday Auntie Gina!

 

Snow White Ballet Camp

8.17.12 - Pepper's snow white ballet camp has finally come at last!  You have waited for this all summer long and finally it's here, your Snow White performance.  You dressed up as different princesses, like Snow White, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty!  It was absolutely adorable and we hope you had a great time.

Chuck Corica Championship Tournament

08.15.12 - Alameda Jr Golf Championships

Penny has been playing some local tournaments at Corica in Alameda, just for fun.  It's a lot more relaxed and it's run by the senior golfers there so it's pretty mellow.  But, competition is tough.  There's a lot of kids who play and you're the youngest in your group.  I knew you'd do well today and you sure did!  You hit a 38!!!  And got 1st Place!!! Halmuhnee and Halabuhjee got to watch you in action.  They had so much fun watching you play.  They, too, are just so proud of you!  Awesome job Penny on 1st Place!

Ruby Hill Championship Tournament

08.13.12 - The last tournament of the Summer Tour... wow.  I can't believe how well you did these past couple months.  I don't think we give you enough credit for what you just accomplished.  You are such a great golfer and you have learned it so quickly.  Always making us proud, always trying to make us happy, Penny, thank you so much for trying your best.  I really wanted you to end strong so that you and everyone know that you worked hard to get to where you are.  You deserve getting 2nd in the overall championship, and I mean that in the BEST way.  Sure, Faith won 1st most of the tournaments, but I don't count her because she's older and has way more experience than you.  Besides, you were the ONLY one who got the 1st place when Faith wasn't there.  You were the best that day and everyone wanted your medal.

Today, you were amazing.  You played so well.  And your putting was superb.  That's my girl.  That's how you can hit a 40.  And in 102 degree heat!!!
