Penny's 1st Par!

05.15.12 - Las Positas Golf Course

Penny and Daddy went to a special kids golf event at Las Positas.  Daddy came home early and picked up Penny and went out to Livermore.  She got to eat her favorite sandwich from Subway.  When they got home I found out that Penny hit a 48!  It's the best score she's ever had.  We were so proud of you!

Last Daisy Event 2012

05.12.12 - Last Day as Daises

Today was the last day of Daisies.  They got their last pedal on their tunic.  This Fall, they will all become Brownies.  I'm proud that she's committed her time to this.  I think it's a good way for girls to feel included.  Good job Penny!

2012 RHS Walkathon

05.05.12 - Walkathon!

This year Penny walked 10 km!  She received a medal and will receive a prize too.  It was a hot day but thanks to all the popsicles provided by all the families, the kids were hydrating and had fun!  I enjoy walking with Penny because we get to talk and walk and have fun together.  Maybe next year I'll let her splash water on me.. since I dumped water on her a couple times!  I'm proud of you Penny!

Pepper turns 41 months

05.02.12 - Month 41

I can't believe my baby is almost 3 1/2 years old.  How did that happen?!  Once she turns 4, she really will no longer be my baby.  Nah, you'll always be my baby.  We love you very much and you are truly a sweet girl.

Last field trip as a 1st grader

05.02.12 - Chabot Space and Science Field Trip

Today Penny's class went to Chabot Space and Science.  I took off work and helped chaperone the field trip.  They learned about astronauts and did some cool experiments in one of the classrooms.  They also got to see the Cardboard box space ship movie which Penny has seen a couple times before.  I learn something new about the planets every time I see it!  It'll be Penny's last field trip as a 1st grader.  She's growing up too fast.

04.30.12 - Tooth is finally out!

We thought we'd never get this tooth out.  This tooth got loose at her 1st soccer game after eating some popcorn.  2 weeks later and it was wiggly, refusing to fall out.  I got really close pulling half of it out, but Penny said it hurt and I just couldn't yank on it any more.  I was scared.  But tonight after dinner, I made Daddy be brave.  Apparently, Penny was holding his hand and she accidentally pulled his hand down and out! came her tooth!  Yay.. what a relief.

Pickles 3rd birthday!

04.25.12 - Pickles turns 3!

Today we celebrated Penny's pet goldfish, Pickles.  I found cute goldfish cupcakes from Wholefoods and couldn't resist buying them for our little party.  You're a good pet, Pickles!
