This year National Pepper Day was the day after Thanksgiving. As usual, Pepper got to do whatever and eat whatever she wants. Lunch started out with Shin Black ramen of course. After hitting some balls at the range, she decided she wanted to go to the arcades at the mini golf place in Castro Valley. I'm so glad you had fun. You said it was the best day ever!

First day of school!
08.22.16
First day of school today! Penny starts
6th grade at Lincoln Middle Jr High and was so nervous about today. She wanted to know what her teachers were like and who all was in her class. She couldn't sleep a wink. Pepper returned to Bay Farm Elementary as a 2nd grader in Mrs Kuttner's class. Even though all her friends are in Lewis' class, she has found her teacher to be really nice. It's gonna be a good year!
Pro golfer again this year!

1140 Old Alameda Point
05.27.16
Today escrow closed on our new Alameda home. I can't believe it's ours. I'm incredibly sad that we had to sell Ridgemont being that it is my dream home. And no the new home doesn't come close to how perfect that house was but at least it's ours. The house is nice and clean and I love the paint inside. We'll have to replace the kitchen counter and carpet upstairs so it'll look really nice. Here's to our new home! Congratulations us!
Harry Potter book 1
06.07.16
Today Pepper has the privilege of having Daddy read Harry Potter to you.
Daddy makes it really fun with his sound effects and British accents. The beginning of an awesome adventure!

Pepper's first win!
2.28.16 San Ramon Golf Course
Spring season is a tough time for the girls. They are super busy. Softball starts and this year Pepper is in 8U which means practice 2x/week plus a Saturday game. With that said, that meant golf practice was gonna be cut down. We even played the MIF a couple times and even played a practice round at San Ramon GC. You didn't play your best either. So we didn't expect much and it wasn't your fault. We even let you go to Ellia's bday party which ended late and you had an early tee time the next morning.
On the day of the tournament, I watched you play the most incredible round of golf you've ever had. You had 3 birdies!! Par after par but then the last hole, the water hole, you shot an 8. We were certain that you had just dropped down in place. But you pulled through with an awesome 39 and took home the win! So proud of you Pepper! One more championship tournament and the tour is over. Great effort Pepper!

PGA Pro-AM Tournament
02.12.16
Our friend gave us 3 tickets to the Pro-Am tournament so Daddy took the girls. They were gone all day. Pepper got to be the Marshall on one hole and both girls won this putting contest and got these cute Geico head covers. They saw a lot stars and pros. Hope you had fun!

Bay Farm Cupcake Wars
02.01.16
Today Bay Farm held their Cupcake contest to help raise funds for the PTA. Penny decided she wanted to enter the hamburger cupcake after getting her Nerdy Nummies cookbook from Santa last year. It was pretty much a family effort and I spent a lot of time trying to find ingredients and looking for lined paper. It was fun and the cupcakes turned out great! I think when I opened the oven door to check it with a toothpick I kept the door open too long so the cupcake tops deflated. But they still looked awesome.
They had 3 winners for each grade: Appearance, creativity and taste. Penny's got ... Best decorated cupcake!

Girl Scout Troop #33923 Sleepover!
01.16.16
I went back and forth a million times trying to figure out if I should let you do your first sleepover with your troop. It was the night before the Shoreline tournament in Mountain View and it was supposed to rain. Daddy finally made the decision to just let you go and have fun. I'm glad you went because you did really well the next day. You were tied for 1st place through 1-8 holes! One lousy triple bogey got you 2nd but we couldn't be more proud of you! Glad you got to do the sleepover and win 2nd at the tournament. You're a rock star!

PenPep Day 2016
For PenPep day the girls got to eat corned beef hash for breakfast. I tried to get black ramen but Safeway didn't have any in stock. You guys were still really happy to get corned beef hash. We played a quick round at the MIF and then he dinner with auntie Kristin's family. We ended the night watching the new Peanuts movie in our bed. Since you didn't get to pick dinner we'll let you pick dinner tomorrow!

Happy new year 2016
1.1.16
We accidentally let the girls stay up to midnight to ring in the new year. We went over to the Furuichi-Fongs and kept missing the count downs so we just stayed until it was our real count down. 2016 should be an interesting year. My main concern is finding a new permanent home for us and saying good bye to the best house I've ever known. I know we are in good hands and have faith that we will find something perfect for us. Here's to a new exciting year!
