Halloween!

10.31.12 - Halloween!

This year the girls dressed up as Sponge Bob and Lolli, the Lollipop Fairy from CandyLand.  They looked so awesome!  Pepper had a Treehouse Halloween party and Penny had a parade.  Later at night we went to the Halloween party at First Covenant Church.  It's pretty fun there - girls get tons of candy there!  There's carnival type games and lots and lots of candy.  It's always nice to see all the Treehouse staff there and since both girls went/go there, they get special treatment.

We started trick or treating early and went to our usual neighbors.  Most of the families weren't home (since it was only 3:30!)  but the girls have so much getting candy.

Too cute

10.21.12 - Cutie

Pepper looks so cute in this picture.  She also created this playdoh cupcake she was so proud of.

Helping Unni

10.15.12 - Penny's 1000 project

For Penny's 2nd grade class, Mr Abrahams assigned the kids a 1000 project.  Penny decided on Black Eyed Peas.  I bought a bag of peas and we started counting away.  She wanted to turn it in early so me and Pepper decided to help her count.  We divided them up by 100 and packaged them up in clear plastic bags and cute ribbon.  Then, she was supposed to hide them in a bag and create a riddle for others to figure out.  Penny's was, "It grows from the ground, it's something you chew, when it's on your plate, it stares back at you!"

Getting ready for Halloween!

10.15.12 - The girls wanted to decorate the house with Halloween ghosts so I made some out of white bedsheets and Easter eggs and tied them to our tree out front.  I thought they looked pretty cute.

Jack O'Lantern Jamboree at Fairyland!

10.13.12 - We went too Fairyland to check out the Halloween activities for kids.  It was cool to go at night when it's dark and the lights were on.  Has a whole different feel to Fairyland.  We played fun games and the girls got to go on rides in the dark!

Penny's gift

10.10.12 - We had promised Penny a big gift if she played well in the US Kids Golf Summer Tour.  And, she worked very hard and placed 2nd in the overall Championships!  I couldn't have asked for a better turnout.  She originally thought we promised her a hamster, but I just don't think she's ready to raise a pet.  And it doesn't help that I hate rodents.  She has to first prove that she can take care of her little sister and THEN we can talk about a pet.  Anyways, we got Penny a cool talking rangefinder.  We surprised her with it after she went to bed.  I hope you like it Penny.  I know it's not a cute hamster, but maybe this 'golf buddy', will help you be an even better player.  We're so proud of you.

The girls' sleepover

10.05.12 - The girls tried again for a sleepover.  While Penny is good and tries to sleep, Pepper is still too young and keeps Penny up.  I know I should just make it fun for them and leave them alone.  I'm trying to control myself from going up there and checking on them and I have gotten better.  But, I do eventually end up going up there, pulling Pepper out from the floor and putting her in her own bed while Penny sleeps on the floor.  I just don't like it when they lose sleep.  Get it over, I know!

Penny's 7th loose tooth

10.05.12 - Tonight Penny lost her 7th tooth.  And again, Daddy was the brave one and yanked! it out for Penny.  I'm really amazed at Penny's bravery these days.  I'm really realizing that she's a fighter.  She does have a can-do attitude.  She's just quiet about it.  You're just awesome Penny.

Month 46

10.02.12 - I can't believe how fast 1 months goes by.  I feel like I just wrote you were 45 months old.  One thing I do like about tracking your age month by month is that I am able to enjoy each day more because I see you are growing up so fast.  In 2 months, you will be 4.  I just can't believe it.  I love you Pepper.
