2.25.12 - World Thinking Day

I went with Penny to her Girl Scouts Daisy World Thinking Day.  There, the girls learn a little about different culture and food from around the world.  They spend some time doing crafts and playing games.  At their hula dance contest, each group of Girl Scouts would go up and see who danced the best.  All the Daisies got up and followed the dancer and the judges picked Penny!  All her friends gave her big hugs... at the same time!

2.15.12 - Golfing with Pepper

I decided during Penny's golf lessons, I would take Pepper to range too and hit some balls.  She looks very cute with her Hello Kitty golf bag and clubs.  People always look at her.  I remember when Pepper used her Hello Kitty clubs and I just wanted to show her off she looked so cute.  I think after seeing Penny play golf all the time Pepper is getting the hang of it pretty quickly.  Her form looks awesome (Penny's too!).

I love when my girls are loving to each other, like holding hands in the car or cuddling up on the sofa.  I wish I could stop time when I see them this way.

Valentine's Day

2.14.12 - Valentine's Day

The girls always love this day.  Getting and handing out the cards are so fun for them.  I have happy memories of Valentine's Day too.  I got the girls a Smurfette doll and a Snow White doll for Penny and Pepper and, of course, some candy too.  This was Pepper's first real Valentine's Day at a school.  She was so excited about this day.

02.12.12 - Penny's first golf tournament!

Penny has been preparing for the big day but was a bit nervous today.  I didn't know what to expect either. Daddy and Penny left earlier in the day and looked for some golf shoes for her.  She found the cutest FootJoy's pair.

I was so proud of Penny.  She played well and made it to the end.  She was playing with girls who had much more tournament experience than her.  She scored a 62 (although we're pretty sure they scored her incorrectly) and she received the Rising Star Award!  Mommy and Daddy are extremely proud of her.  We just want you to have fun and hope that you are.

Chicago Trip!

02.04.12 - Chicago Trip!

It was my grandma's 97th birthday so we all decided to visit family and celebrate. The flight to Midway was pretty painless.  The girls were very well behaved and I think they had a fun time on the airplane. Lots of lollipops and Ipad movies... you can't go wrong.  When we landed, the first thing we did was eat dinner at our favorite Korean/Chinese restaurant.  They have the best spicy chicken wings!  We met my cousin Han and his wife Eunia for dinner.  The restaurant is right behind my grandma's apartment.  My grandma looked awesome and it was so great to see my kids being so loving to her.  I hope she felt loved.

 

 

 

We stayed at the Westin in downtown Chicago overlooking Lake Michigan.  I thought we'd splurge a little on our hotel and use our Wells Fargo points.  It was right across the street from the John Hancock building which we visited the next day.  The first night, due to the time difference, we thought it'd be fun to go out at night and find a good Chicago hot dog and stay up late.  We had fun.

02.05.12 - Day 2

In the morning we could see Lake Michigan.  It wasn't the best view, but it still was beautiful.  We decided to visit the John Hancock building and went to the very top.  Penny got to learn some Chicago history which was great.

We celebrated my grandma's birthday at Woo Lae Oak and had a nice time with her.  How cool that we can celebrate 4 generations together.  Happy 97th Birthday!

 12.06.12 - Day 3

The next day we hung out with my friend, Nari and her daughter Jillian.  For dinner we met up with my cousins and tried some authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza.  After pizza, we all drove around and Daddy had a famous Five Guys burger and then ended the night at Baskin Robins. 

12.07.12 - Last Day of Trip

We had breakfast with Big Halmoni and said our good-byes.  Mommy always cries when she says bye to her Halmoni.  I'm so grateful to have these wonderful memories with all the people I love.  I hope the girls will always remember her.

New golf shoes for Pepper and Month 38

02.01.12 - New golf shoes for Pepper and Month 38!

Pepper turns 38 months today.  She is such a cutie.  We just love our big 3 year old girl.

I almost forgot that I bought these cute golf shoes for Penny which now fit Pepper.  She was so excited to get them from Penny.  She looks so cute in this picture.  Oh and how could I forget Penny's white dress on her.  Penny wears this dress as a skirt now.  She just really loves it and has tried to hold onto it for as long as she could.  But, I thought it'd fit better on Pepper and technically it is a dress.  I told Penny that Pepper would only borrow her dress once in while.
